First 5 Forever

Take part in the special First 5 Forever Giveaway!
Running from December 2024 to March 2025, children five years and under can collect a different gift each month from their local library in the Bundaberg region.
Each gift celebrates the First 5 Forever focus on talking, reading, singing and playing with the children in your life. Visit your local library with your child each month to collect all four gifts.
Giveaways will be available for collection from the following libraries, while stocks last:
- Bundaberg Library
- Childers Library
- Gin Gin Library
- Woodgate Library
What is First 5 Forever
First 5 Forever is an early literacy initiative based on the knowledge that “sharing stories, rhymes, singing, talking and playing with your child from birth builds a foundation for your child’s future development that can last a lifetime.” To promote this important message and empower families, public libraries are supported by the Queensland Government and State Library of Queensland to provide free resources and activities for zero to five year olds.
Programs
Here at Bundaberg Regional Libraries we host regular programs for zero to five year olds and their primary caregivers. We also have special community based sessions periodically throughout the year, keep up to date with our social media pages for information about special First 5 Forever events in our region.
